RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3 twelve-hour shifts with every other weekend or 4 week shift schedule

• Patient ratio of 5:1

• Unit serves as cardiac step-down from CSSU and IVCU, med/surg telemetry, and stroke overflow

• Care for patients with chest pain rule out, CHF, COPD cardiac management, chest tubes, hi-flow and Bi-pap

• Manage patients with thoracentesis, PD, trachs, pacemakers, and cardiac cath procedures

• Cannot take patients post cath lab unless radial artery used

• Handle CIWA protocols

• Work with equipment including IV pumps, Sara Steadys, hi-flow, bi-pap, and Kangaroo pumps

• Use Meditech Expanse documentation system

• Participate in bedside shift rounds and handoff procedures

• Must be proficient in telemetry monitoring

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS

• Professional dress code required

• Unit staffing includes 4 RN teams with free charge nurse, 2 LNAs, and a unit clerk
