Outreach Specialist - Community Based — Portsmouth, NH. Full-time, Clinical role serving adults.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Adult Services Department of SMHC is seeking an energetic, dedicated, and experienced individual to join the Portsmouth-based Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACT). This position coordinates services and provides direct support, advocacy, and assertive outreach to adults with mental illness. The ideal applicant must possess a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or the equivalent, and preferably have one year of experience in the field.
Regular schedule may include weekend hours.
- Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Outreach Specialist must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to demonstrate a "clean" driving record.
- CPR/First Aid training is recommended.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or the equivalent; preferably with one year of related experience.
- Experience coordinating services, providing direct support, advocacy, and outreach for adults with mental illness is preferred.
