, you will join our Hyrdogeology & Water Team

Our Water Team and Projects Our team of 160 dedicated water professionals has earned multiple ACEC Engineering Excellence and ASCE Project Awards. We partner with private, state, and local government clients to enhance drinking water and wastewater infrastructure, ensuring reliable and sustainable systems for communities. As part of our team, you’ll help plan, design, and administer the construction of new and upgraded conveyance systems, treatment plants, and pump stations.
You’ll support clients with capital improvement planning, hydraulic modeling, and asset management programs. Our work also includes Long-Term CSO Control Plans, Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plans, Integrated Water Resource Management Plans, and Sewer System Evaluation Studies—driving smarter, more resilient water solutions.
What You'll Be Doing
As a valuable part of our Hyrdogeology & Water Team
, an Entry Level Environmental Scientist will support a variety of projects and gain hands-on experience with responsibilities such as:
- Support hydrogeologic investigations and drinking water projects under the direction of senior staff
- Participate in field work such as groundwater sampling, water level monitoring, and aquifer testing
- Assist with feasibility studies, groundwater assessments, and data collection related to bedrock and stratified drift wells
- Support groundwater withdrawal permitting efforts, including data compilation, technical documentation, and coordination with regulatory agencies
- Support groundwater modeling tasks, including data preparation and analysis related to groundwater flow, recharge, and contaminant transport
- Prepare technical calculations, figures, and sections of reports and permit applications
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Currently have your OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification or plan to by June 2026
- Relevant experience through coursework, internship, or entry-level professional experience in groundwater, drinking water, or environmental consulting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Eagerness to learn, intellectually curious, self-motivated, and excellent organizational skills
Preferred Requirements
- Master's degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field
- 1 or more years of internship or full-time work experience related to groundwater, drinking water, or environmental consulting
- Hands-on experience of GIS, groundwater modeling software, or data analysis tools
- Familiarity with New England water resources or environmental regulations
