WhoWe’re Looking For:
As a key member of the R&D team, the Electrical Engineer is responsible for performing engineering activities in support of new product development as well as providing R&D support to existing products in our portfolio. This includes product and component design; electronics design for various hardware and electrical systems and ongoing improvement/maintenance of existing product lines. The position is also responsible for managing the R&D lab space.
About the role:- Own the electrical engineering aspects of medical device design including schematic capture, PCB layout, requirements management, verification test design, manufacturing design transfer, and change plans.
- Responsible for product engineering in compliance with medical device design control requirements globally.
- Evaluates products and prototypes and works closely with R&D engineers to apply knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
- Conducts qualitative and quantitative testing of subassemblies and assists engineers in conducting verification testing for new products.
- Assembles components and subassemblies.
- Documents actions and adheres to the standard production procedures and quality standards for all work performed.
- Keeps equipment and tools in the R&D lab operational and organized. Coordinates maintenance, calibration, and repair services for lab equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and a minimum of 2 years of related experience. Medical Device experience preferred.
- Understanding of FDA’s QSR (CFR 820), IEC 60601, and/or IEC 62304 preferred.
- Understanding of test method validation, verification, validation and analytical methods.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
- Multi‑tasking, analytical, and problem‑solving skills are essential.
- Well‑versed in Microsoft Windows/Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams).
- Working knowledge of design tools, such as Altium Designer.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English).
- Ability to lead and work on multiple projects concurrently.
