- Support the project team in preparing professional, economical, and effective plans and specifications.
- Conduct engineering computations for complex projects.
- Communicate directly with governmental/regulatory staff regarding design concepts and requirements; represent clients at agency hearings.
- Perform overall quality control of budget, schedule, and plans; report project status to the Project Manager.
- Monitor compliance with applicable codes, QA/QC policies, and specifications.
- Lead design concept for plans and specifications.
- Advise field engineers, contractors, and inspectors during construction.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager on project strategy and decision‑making.
- Assist in preparing project proposals, scope of work, timelines, and manpower estimates.
- Promote new business opportunities for the company.
- B.S. in Civil Engineering required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license with minimum 4 years of related experience, or Engineer in Training (EIT) on track to attain PE with minimum 5 years of related experience.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Work occurs in office and field settings. Outdoor work is subject to temperature extremes and inclement weather. Hours are flexible and may change with project schedules, and frequent site visits may be required.
A criminal background check and driving record check will be conducted.
