Overview
Administrative Assistant Pre Admission Testing PRN at Portsmouth Regional Hospital, part of the HCA Healthcare family. Provides administrative support to the Preadmission Testing Department, including the Clinical Coordinator and the NP/PA, and may perform diversified administrative and secretarial functions for other departments as assigned.
Acts as a multidisciplinary representative of Surgical Services in all interactions.

Responsible for providing administrative support to the Preadmission Testing Department, including the Clinical Coordinator and the NP/PA. Perform diversified administrative and secretarial functions for other departments as assigned (e.g., Quality Management, Anesthesia, Perfusion, and Administration). Acts as a multidisciplinary representative of Surgical Services in all interactions.
What will you do in this role- Compose correspondence, memos, reports, etc., as appropriate.
- Type, format and proofread a variety of materials including correspondence, reports, surveys, minutes of meetings, etc.
- Answer telephones, receive and deliver messages, route calls to other departments as appropriate.
- Assemble and check for the completeness of surgical, endoscopy, and procedural charts.
- Support and implement quality improvement efforts and help create an environment that reflects such support.
- Maintain a high degree of administrative/organizational skills to enhance the operation of Surgical Services and Pre-Admission Testing; provide pertinent information promptly and efficiently.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of clerical experience; medical clerical experience preferred.
- Proficient computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
