We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Coordinator to join our dynamic non-profit organization. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, managing payroll and benefits, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will support the organization’s financial health and provide clear, reliable reports that inform strategic decision-making.

- Manage daily bookkeeping operations using Quick Books Online accounting software. Monitoring and managing electronic deposits and reconciliation with nonprofit fundraising software.
- Record and process journal entries with precision, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account analysis to maintain accurate financial data.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment scheduling.
- Reconcile balance sheets by verifying account balances and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare financial reports, including income statements, profit + loss statements, and budget analyses for internal review.
- Assist with payroll processing, 990 tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements as needed.
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles within a nonprofit or small business environment.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Proven ability to produce high quality work in a busy work environment.
- Proficient communication skills-interpersonal, verbal, and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills: adaptable, collaborative, and friendly.
- Competence with Quick Books, Little Green Light, Salesforce or similar tools preferred.
- Experience with NH Medicaid billing is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or related field. Education may be replaced by equivalent, relevant work experience.
- Minimum of two years’ related experience; preference for applicants with demonstrable experience working with non-profit organizations.
