Construction Technician - Laborer

We are currently seeking Construction Technicians / Laborers with valid CDL licenses to join our team in Portland, TN
. The Construction Technician is responsible for the installation of CIPP for various municipal, industrial, storm and sewer line rehab and repair projects. This position must be capable of working with minimal oversight while still following instructions closely.

We are currently offering a limited-time sign-on bonus of $4,000 for new hires with a valid CDL license
, and sign-on bonuses for new hires without a current CDL license are also available at a reduced amount. New employees who meet the criteria outlined in our sign-on bonus program will be eligible for the full payout.

The starting hourly pay is $22.00-$30.00 per hour depending on experience and CDL license held.

• Repair various types of sewer lines by using specific UV CIPP products and processes
• Ensure pull-in tube is properly prepared for installation by examining D‑Rings, chains and attachment to pulling cable
• Install prepared tube using a winch, backhoe, crane or other appropriate material
• Monitor gauges, dials, heat sensors, or other indicators to ensure equipment is working properly
• Cure resin product using an inflation tube, calibrations can’s, UV light trains and associated equipment.
• Learn/train on Insituform's products, processes, safety procedures, installation techniques and equipment
• Drive various vehicles (pickup trucks to tractor‑trailer rigs) to haul crews and equipment
• Perform set up and clean up tasks at jobsite/shop

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience as a Construction Laborer and / or Installation Technician highly preferred
• OSHA certifications are a plus
• Valid driver's license required with a clean motor vehicle report
• Must possess, or obtain with 90 days of hire, a CDL with required endorsements (Hazmat, Tanker and Air Brakes), compliant with Insituform's motor vehicle standards
• Must be able to wear a respirator and body harness while entering confined spaces
• Ability to lift / move up to 75 pounds and use pneumatic, battery‑powered, or electric tools
• Comfortable working outside at job sites with moving vehicles and mechanical operations, with occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles
• Must be able to travel weekly (potentially out of state)
