Responsibilities- As the "face of Airgas", the delivery driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company provided tractor trailer, straight, or box truck.
- This position loads, unloads, delivers, and returns compressed gas cylinders while frequently interacting with Airgas customers.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Load and unload the truck daily with gas cylinders & supplies.
- Maintain courteous and professional relationships with customers.
- Make deliveries in a timely manner.
- Pay scale: $27.50/hr to $35.25/hr depending on hazmat experience, with a monthly bonus opportunity.
- For drivers without hazmat experience, pay is $27.50/hr for CDL B and $28.50/hr for CDL
A. - If hired without a hazmat endorsement, pay will not increase once the endorsement is obtained.
- Monday–Friday schedule with the occasional weekend.
- Full-time schedule with morning start times and late afternoon end times.
- Airgas operates a modern fleet with driver-friendly technology, including On-Board Computers, collision avoidance, latest camera technology and GPS navigation.
- Valid Class A CDL or B CDL with HAZMAT & Airbrake endorsements.
- Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card & endorsements.
- No more than two traffic convictions in the last 3 years, or a combination of one traffic conviction and one at-fault accident.
- No driving under the influence within the last seven years.
- Ability to work in a drug-free environment.
- Regularly lift 75 lbs and move more than 125 lbs with aid of material handling equipment.
