Role SummaryThe Driller’s Assistant supports the drilling crew in the drilling operation. The Driller’s Assistant will move, set up and operate related equipment to aid in drilling, which includes repetitive bending, lifting, and climbing. Work is outdoors in all weather conditions and generally physically demanding. This position requires extensive travel up to 95% of the time, both regionally and nationally, and the ability to work with a small crew.
CompensationRange
$20.00–$24.00 Per Hour (Dependent on Experience)
Overtime is common and occasionally required, with advance notice provided.
- Must be reliable and a hard worker
- Must have a valid driver’s license AND a clean MVR (driving record)
- CDL or OSHA 40hr trained a plus but not required
- Able to push, pull, lift heavy equipment
- Able to work outside in a variety of elements
- Drug screen required
- Assisting Driller in performing drilling operations (change drill rods, install casing, etc.)
- Assist in setting up drill site
- Follow all safety procedures
- Housekeeping of drill site and equipment
- Operate equipment (forklift, backhoe, etc.)
