Schedule: Saturday - Wednesday, 11:00 pm - 7:30 am (Night Shift)
Location: Employment Access Center 2 NW 2nd Ave Portland, OR 97209, USA
Compensation:$19.22 - $24.99/hr
The Deputy Dispatch Responder responds to requests from staff and programs needing immediate and future assistance in filling shifts that are vacant from unexpected absences, vacations or vacant positions. This position requires that carrying and answering the dispatch phone, and filling shifts during the entire shift. This position also offers support to CC Staffing Trainees if they have any questions while working in a given building.
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Preference given to individuals who are currently or have worked for CC Staffing.
- Understanding of union requirements for filling shifts, or ability to understand.
- Has the competencies necessary to:
- Quickly assess situations and develop plan
- Work within Deputy Dispatch software
- Clearly document all call responses
- Communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing
- Sufficient manual dexterity and physical ability to perform duties
- Ability to adhere to Central City Concern’s drug-free workplace which encourages a safe, healthy and productive work environment and strictly complies with the Drug-Free Work Place Act of 1988. An employee shall not, in the workplace, unlawfully manufacture, distribute, dispense, possess or use a controlled substance or alcohol.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- May be required to carry an agency cell phone for work use. Cell phone will be provided by Central City Concern.
- Must adhere to agency's non-discrimination policies.
- Ability to effectively interact with co-workers and clients with diverse ethnic backgrounds, religious views, cultural backgrounds, lifestyles, and sexual orientations, and treat each individual with respect and dignity.
- Respond to incoming calls from programs and staff during shift.
- Monitor and respond to CCC Staffing Dispatch email.
- Work within Deputy Dispatch system to fill the vacancy following all applicable requirements within the Employee Handbook and the Union Contract.
- Make phone calls in order to find shift coverage, per union contract, when applicable.
- Notify the program of who will be working the shift.
- Notify the program when coverage cannot be found.
- Notify the program when staff are unable to make it to a scheduled shift.
- Maintain accurate records of shifts in Deputy Software.
- Document every phone call and action taken.
- Provide in person and/or telephone support for CC Staffing employees in various locations.
- Provide training for on-duty CC staffing employees.
- Cover front desk positions while performing dispatch duties at 24/7 buildings when coverage cannot be found.
- Adhere to all state and federal privacy regulations, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2, and to CCC policies and agreements regarding confidentiality, privacy, and security. Support compliance with all privacy and security requirements pursuant to community partners' and outside providers' patient confidentiality agreements, including privacy and security requirements for EMR access. This includes immediately reporting any breach of protected health information or personal identification information of any person receiving CCC services by CCC or an outside provider to the CCC Compliance Department, as well as to your supervisor or their designee.
- Gather, edit, and refine program boiler plates and impact data. Help to keep files organized and updated.
- Adhere to all CCC policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Attend all required meetings and trainings.
- Perform related duties as assigned, within the scope of the role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Ability to learn scheduling software.
- Ability to multi-task and to prioritize duties and tasks.
- Ability to manage time in order to meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and necessary paperwork.
- Ability to respectfully communicate with a wide variety of individuals.
