Allied Universal® is hiring a Regional Trainer for the Portland Branch office. The Regional Trainer will teach Allied Universal employees at all levels, upskilling employees to develop a safety, service, and growth mindset. Training course development, delivery and compliance-tracking will be conducted in accordance with all federal, state or province, and local laws and regulations, while also adhering to Allied Universal standards and values.
Compensation: $57,454.00 + T&E Corporate Card
Ideal candidate must possess or obtain within 90 days of employment the DPSST Instructor Certification.
Requirements for Certification and Position:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must pass a 10 year criminal background check
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of satisfactory employment as a security officer for a private security service, OR 3 years in the Military Police, OR 3 years within a law enforcement field
* A combination of all three requirements listed above is considered meeting the employment requirements.
Must have valid driver's license and a clear driving record
* Allied Universal will financially cover costs related to obtaining any and all certifications necessary for the position if candidate does not currently possess them at time of successful hire.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Training Design & Delivery- Develop and deliver training content for internal staff and client-specific needs.
- Facilitate programs in compliance with Allied Universal standards and all applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide specialty training in CPR/First Aid/AED, defensive tactics, mobility devices, and field training.
- Partner with HR and branch leadership to implement contract- and regulation-compliant training programs.
- Oversee Training Academy performance across regions, promoting continuous improvement.
- Ensure training compliance for armed officers, mobile patrol, and use of force requirements.
- Participate in WFM and operations meetings; present training metrics using DOMO.
- Distribute weekly reports on training completions and upcoming virtual instructor-led sessions.
- Maintain clear communication with internal teams and clients.
- Conduct quarterly site audits to address training gaps and provide on-site instruction.
- Meet with clients, document findings, and implement improvement plans.
- Build relationships with local training academies as needed.
- Deliver contracted services (e.g., fire safety, workplace violence training).
- Support regional projects and initiatives as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary state or federal licensing requirements
- Current driver’s license if driving a company vehicle, or personal vehicle in the course of conducting business (e.g., client visits, attending networking events)
- Excellent customer-service skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of individuals professionally in a courteous and professional manner
- Proven experience with personnel supervision and management
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to write manuals, review and respond to written requests for proposals, training documents, and prepare extensive presentations
- Highly proficient and fully functional in Microsoft programs such as Word and Power Point
- Professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretion
- Willingness and ability to travel as well as work extended hours to meet business objectives
