Regional Key Account Executive – Pacific Coast

OverviewThe Regional Key Account Executive is part of our Customer Solutions team, working cross‑functionally to simplify complexity, drive strategic contracting, and achieve profitable sales growth within small‑to‑medium health systems and IDNs.
ResponsibilitiesAccount Management
- Maintain routine communication with divisional sales forces to gather and share information as part of IDN account management and contracting strategies.
- Reinforce relationships with Supply Chain personnel to secure last look in contracting activities.
- Maintain ongoing dialogue with customers to understand needs and improve patient outcomes.
- Monitor product conversion opportunities, apply analytics, and report progress internally and externally.
- Coordinate new opportunities with Supply Chain and sales to build business and protect existing business through improved agreements.
- Serve as a point of access for Med Surg, Orthopedics, and NT sales to the IDN’s key economic and operational resources.
- Partner with divisional Strategic Sales/Business Unit Liaisons to incorporate accurate pricing goals into proposals and agreements.
- Meet IDN objectives for orders growth and preferred vendor agreements.
- Lead or collaborate with Business Unit leaders to perform Portfolio Business Reviews.
- Develop annual account reports, IDN opportunity roadmaps, and align with BU strategy.
- Work with Supply Chain to accelerate sales and remove obstacles, driving long‑term customer loyalty.
- Follow the established legal contracting process for agreement creation and execution.
- Monitor contract compliance, evaluate results, and communicate improvements.
- Track monthly progress against goals and conduct SWOT analyses.
- Support pricing, contracting, and sales across assigned IDNs for their portfolios.
- Collaborate with Elevate Contract Enablement, Legal, National Accounts, and Strategic Sales to optimize execution.
- Maintain knowledge of capital equipment, disposable products, Flex Financial and Pro Care service agreements, and associated GPO/contract positions.
- Identify and resolve supply chain concerns across member IDN facilities.
- Delegate operational tasks to Elevate Contract Enablement partners.
- Cultivate partnership mentality and add non‑price value through initiatives and programs.
- Attend Stryker and industry meetings as appropriate.
- Maintain knowledge of market trends, competitive actions, product needs, and customer base.
- Create an annual personal development plan to increase skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to corporate policies and Adva Med guidelines in customer interactions.
- Manage travel expenses within budget.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years in medical device sales, strategic sales, and/or marketing.
- 10+ total years of industry experience with cross‑division collaboration.
- Demonstrated performance in management and/or leadership positions.
- Experience with complex customers, regional collaboratives, and IDNs.
- Deep understanding of medical device markets, including disposables, capital equipment, implants, and fracture management.
- Excellent time‑management skills and independent judgment.
- Ability to work with clinical and business personnel internally and externally.
- Strong analytical and problem‑resolution skills.
- Independent work capability without direct supervision.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent communication via phone, text, and email.
- High emotional and executive intelligence.
- Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Highly motivated, collaborative, and experienced in regional sales management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- $160,000 – $264,000 salary plus bonus eligibility and benefits. Individual pay is based on skills and experience.
