We are seeking a proven Outside Sales Representative responsible for maintaining customer relationships, meeting sales targets, and ensuring sales growth within a specific geographic area. They devise sales strategies, analyze data, address customer concerns, and identify sales opportunities. An Outside Sales Representative plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth and expanding business within their assigned territory. (Oregon).

Job Responsibilities:
- Routine sales travel to visit new and existing customers to acquire and retain customers, ascertain current needs, and generate additional sales.
- Serves customers by selling products and meeting customer needs.
- Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing a daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
- Adjusts the content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor.
- Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.
- Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
- Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
- Recommends changes in products, services, and policy by evaluating results.
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Qualified candidates must live in the territory and have a minimum of 3 years of sales experience with Pipe, Valve, and Fittings or directly related fields
- Experience in distributor sales for the following markets (Irrigation, Plumbing, Industrial, and Waterworks)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel within the territory and outside the territory when required
- Proven track record of increasing sales
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized
- Strong presentation, organizational, and time management skills
- Professional integrity
- Demonstrate business skills
- Superior teaching skills
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required (Marketing, Business Administration, and Advertising sales)
- 3 - 5 years minimum with new customer sales experience – required
- 3-5 years of industry sales experience – required
