Account Manager

. This position offers an immediate impact on customers, company performance, and earnings. It is ideal for a strong outside sales representative who thrives in consultative sales and has knowledge of industrial products.
- Report directly to the District Sales Manager.
- Build a territory and grow earnings by developing repeat business relationships in existing accounts and opening new business.
- Use handheld technology to manage customers’ inventory and sell new products.
- Call on engineers, maintenance, purchasing and others using a consultative selling approach to learn about customers’ applications and needs.
- Maintain current customers while prospecting new opportunities.
- Prepare quotations and proposals, follow up and negotiate terms, and close transactions.
- Conduct product demonstration sessions for customers; survey market and competitive conditions.
- Complete reports regarding itineraries, expenses, sales calls, leads and other related reports.
- Minimum of 1 year B2B sales experience, route sales and/or developing new business and managing a territory.
- Industrial/MRO experience or background is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- Basic Word, Excel, and computer skills; SAP a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- Not eligible for relocation benefits; position performed on site.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the US; no sponsorship of work visas.
- Hands‑on product demonstrations for customers and prospects; mechanical aptitude.
- Self‑starter and self‑motivated.
- Relationship‑building skills at all levels with customers and prospect organizations.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
