Fuel & Lubricant Sales Specialist
As a Fuel & Lubricant Sales Specialist at H&S Energy Group, you will drive sales growth, develop strong client relationships, and promote our portfolio of fuel and lubricant products. You will work closely with customers in transportation, construction, manufacturing, and other industries to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. This client‑facing role requires a deep understanding of the fuel and lubricant market, excellent communication skills, and effective negotiation ability.
ResponsibilitiesSales Development
- Identify and target new business opportunities in the fuel and lubricant market.
- Build and manage a pipeline of potential clients and oversee the full sales cycle from initial contact to closing deals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, service issues, and ongoing account management.
- Identify, contact, and secure new customers for Cardlock services.
- Develop strategies to increase market penetration of the company’s Cardlock network.
- Work with Pacific Pride and CFN to coordinate resources, align initiatives, and leverage opportunities within the cardlock market.
- Engage customers in consultative discussions to understand their operational fuel and lubricant needs.
- Recommend and provide solutions in bulk fuel, cardlock, lubricants, and equipment.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue potential customers that meet company objectives and growth goals.
- Drive prospects through the sales funnel and convert them into long‑term business relationships.
- Monitor industry trends, competitors, and emerging products to stay informed of market conditions.
- Adjust sales strategies to align with current market opportunities and challenges.
- Maintain detailed and accurate sales activity records in the CRM system.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, quotas, and prospect pipeline progress.
- Partner with marketing, operations, and sales management teams to ensure excellent customer experiences.
- Contribute feedback to support continuous improvement and align with company‑wide sales initiatives.
- Coordinate with logistics and operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of fuel and lubricant products.
- Assist in resolving order discrepancies or delivery issues.
- Deliver professional product presentations and demonstrations for potential customers.
- Highlight features, benefits, and value propositions of company products and services.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements with customers.
- Work to secure long‑term contracts and sustainable partnerships.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of three (3) years of sales experience, preferably in fuel, lubricant, or energy‑related industries.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong knowledge of fuel and lubricant products, applications, and industry trends.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites as needed.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to build relationships and provide exceptional customer service.
- Knowledge of industry safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Technical understanding of fuel and lubricant specifications and applications.
- Regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands to handle or operate office equipment.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, or lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to travel regularly to customer locations, trade events, and company facilities.
- Work environment is typically office‑based with periodic visits to field sites and customer operations.
- Noise level is generally moderate and consistent with a professional office environment.
