As an Regional Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the development and successful delivery of growth objectives for multifamily marketing and Market Analytics in their region/team. The RD is responsible for growing and developing the region’s revenues by selling new advertising and info subscriptions to new customers, growing existing customer revenues by up/crossing selling additional/other CoStar services and ensuring high levels of customer service and high renewal rates.
The RD will manage Sales Associates who are focused on growing new & existing customer business, driving product usage/adoption, preventing reversals, managing accounts, and providing outstanding customer service. All new Regional Directors receive extensive classroom and field training to equip them with product and industry knowledge to build market credibility and achieve career success.
- Attract, hire, motivate, and develop high-impact salespeople capable of meeting/exceeding sales quotas.
- Spend 3-4 days per week in the field on sales calls with their salespeople and provide coaching and training to enhance sales effectiveness.
- Manage the identification, prioritization and winning of new client relationships, as well as retention and growth of current clients; become familiar with all major accounts in the market.
- Monitor sales performance and hold salespeople accountable to required activity levels and client relationships to ensure targets are met.
- Actively manage team members’ weekly activities, including Monday Morning Sales Meeting attendance, office presence, and prompt use of Enterprise CRM systems for sales activities, pipelines, and account assignments.
- Establish individual and team performance targets that align with overall business goals; monitor performance and take action as needed to resolve performance issues and personnel changes.
- Develop and mentor all team members; ensure CoStar Group culture and values are adopted by the team.
- Five or more years of experience in a front-line sales leadership role, preferably in digital marketing or advertising sales; or equivalent experience in the Multifamily industry.
- Three or more years of experience directly managing a team of 5+ employees.
- Experience managing a book of business in excess of $1 million in annual revenue.
- Experience in a highly transactional, consultative sales environment with a short cycle-time sales model.
- Current and valid driver’s license; satisfactory completion of a Driving Record/Driving Abstract check prior to start.
- Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited University or College or a minimum of four years of Multifamily, Digital Marketing (ILS) experience.
- Strong track record of mentoring and coaching sales teams to achieve potential; focus on customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to grow a sales territory through new client acquisition and existing account growth; consistently exceed targets.
- Ability to build long-term relationships with clients at all levels and retain proven sales producers.
- Effective internal and external relationship-building skills, including with senior leadership and sales channels.
