Role Summary

As an General Manager, you are responsible for everything that happens in your store. This includes all hiring, training, schedule writing, cost controls, inventory control, cash control and customer relations. You must set the example and follow ALL policy and procedures 100% of the time and expect the same from your crew.

Responsibilities
  • Operate all equipment
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler
  • Prepare product
  • Receive and process telephone orders
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork
  • Clean equipment and facility approximately daily
  • Deliver product by car and then to door of customer (for driver/store management positions)
Job Duties (Hourly Store Team Members)
  • Operate all equipment
Training & Communication

Orientation and training provided on the job. Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions. Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.

Essential Skills & Functions
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator). Must be able to make correct monetary change.
  • Verbal and written communication; telephone skills to take and process orders
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately perform tasks
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
Work Conditions

Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing outside tasks. In-store temperatures range from 36°F to 90°F and higher. Fumes from food odors and cornmeal dust. Cramped quarters including walk-in cooler. Hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F or higher. Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.

Temperaments & Physical Demands

Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make judgments. Physical tasks include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds with cases up to 72" high, carrying and pushing/pulling trays, climbing stairs, bending and crouching as part of daily duties.
