Overview
Part Time Floor Leader - NW 23rd Ave Portland at Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics North America. As a Floor Leader, you ll play a vital role in supporting the Store Management Team across all areas of the business, including driving sales, opening/closing the store, analyzing sales results, and leading training sessions. You ll work with fellow leaders to ensure an exceptional customer experience, a happy and motivated staff, and operational excellence.
Your day-to-day will be spent on the shop floor, leading and inspiring a team of sales associates to achieve and surpass goals, fostering a culture of passion and positivity to create a productive and enjoyable work environment.
Responsibilities- Driving Sales: Use Store Force dashboard results to coach the sales team, adjust shop floor structure to meet/exceed sales goals, own your results, grow your store s sales, and celebrate achievements with the team.

Experience:
Deliver a world-class customer experience on the shop floor, including product demonstrations; listen to consultations, collaborate with your team, and strive to exceed daily sales goals. - Building the Brand: Educate customers on Lush brand values and our positions on Fighting Animal Testing, Freshest Cosmetics, Ethical Buying, 100% Vegetarian, Handmade, and Naked Packaging; engage with the community through store events and traffic-driving initiatives.
- Product Passion: Deepen product knowledge and make informed recommendations for customer needs.
- Development: Train and coach Sales Ambassadors and peers on sales techniques and product knowledge to improve performance, support team growth, and increase sales; lead by example and seek feedback and opportunities to improve.
- Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging: Encourage open communication, listen to team perspectives on DEIB, foster belonging, promote collaboration, and recognize each employee s contributions.
- Cash Handling and Store Opening/Closing: Manage cash handling, customer transactions, opening/closing registers, reconciling cash drawers, preparing deposits, and securing the store daily.
- Time and Attendance: Model attendance and punctuality, monitor breaks, review daily communications to keep the team informed and prepared for shifts.
- Visuals and Merchandising: Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store to enhance the customer experience and drive sales.
- Stock and Inventory: Train the team on inventory practices and fresh standards; use Visual Merchandising guidelines to adjust product displays based on sales.
- Policies and Procedures: Support management in keeping the store compliant with opening/closing, product integrity, respectful workplace, and health and safety standards.
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in:
- Customer service and sales
- Cash handling and opening/closing procedures
- Supervisory experience involving coaching, feedback, and training
- Problem-solving in day-to-day customer service
- Working in a fast-paced team environment
- Knowledge and passion for skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business
- Flexible schedule to accommodate store needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred:
- Experience with consultation-based customer service models
- Experience analyzing sales metrics
- Experience in skincare or cosmetics
- Experience in cross-cultural collaboration and DEIB or social justice training
- Fluency in Spanish, French or other languages
Location and Compensation: Portland NW 23rd Ave;
Pay: $19.80 USD
Weekly: 20-29 hours
