Responsibilities

Bag groceries at checkout, aiming for at least five items per bag while ensuring contents are not damaged.

Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).

Assist in removing customer's merchandise from shopping carts for checkout.

Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.

Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.

Inform customers of grocery specials and return merchandise to shelves.

Gather and return shopping carts to designated areas.

Clean spills, pick up trash inside the store and parking lot, and maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store.

Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise and understand store layout for locating products and conducting price checks.

Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions or incidents.

Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.

Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.

Create a welcoming environment by engaging with customers and answering questions about products.

Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.

Manage conflicts professionally and act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.

Support and assist customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.

Perform essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodations.
