This part time position will handle Front of the House duties at the Pilot House during the Fall and Spring semesters. May be required to execute the duties at other locations on campus as needed. Position reports to a Bon Appetit Supervisor.

• Follow all Bon Appetit cash handling standards
• Prepare espresso drinks, brewed coffee and some cold drinks following drink recipes as specified by current vendor
• Ensure that all retail and display items at their station meet the pre-established Great Expectations display standards
• Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner; resolve customer concerns
• Greet customers, smile and process sales properly
• Keep cashier area and general cafe clean, utilizing proper cleaning products and sanitation standards
• Responsible for inputting sales into cash register – cash, credit card, and  transactions. Must adhere to Bon Appetit’s cash handling standards
• Other relevant duties as assigned

• Must possess or obtain current Oregon Food Handler’s card
• Must be able to work in a crowded environment
• Must possess good communication skills and be able to work in a team environment
• Must be able to multi-task
• Must be able to perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision
• Interact professionally and positively with other employees, customers and suppliers, work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments
• Must follow all safety procedures
• Must follow all University & Bon Appetit student employment policies

• Previous serving experience preferred, but not required

• Frequently bend, stoop and perform extensive walking
• Exert well-paced mobility to move from different areas of facility as service and production demands require
• Occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of lifting force and/or negligible amount of force to move objects
