Building Envelope - Corp Portland, OR

Performs testing for the Research and Development laboratory with limited supervision, including raw material and finished material testing. This position will also assist quality technicians with training and root cause analysis, assist with plant trials, maintain a safe and clean working environment, and assist with lab maintenance and organization.

• Partner with employees and management in manufacturing and research departments to ensure the capability of new processes in the plants. Interacts with all levels in the company.
• Perform regular auditing of the laboratory equipment to ensure proper operation of the equipment.
• Maintain routine lab supplies for the department.
• Perform regular calibrations of equipment in the laboratory.
• Assist with writing and implementation of documentation for procedures performed in the laboratory, which include raw materials and finished products.
• Responsible for following all documented procedures and standards utilized by the department and in the industry.
• Effectively communicate with quality control, production, maintenance, operations, warehouse personnel, and plant management.
• Regular and predictable attendance is essential in this role.

A high school diploma or GED, plus 1‑3 years of prior manufacturing or lab technician experience, is required. Previous experience as a quality technician, process technician, operations technician, or working in a manufacturing environment is desired. An associate or bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical field is a plus.
