JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance Specialist is a key contributor to Relay Resources’ Supply Chain Services, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and customer satisfaction. This role focuses on executing quality assurance and quality control programs across supply chain operations, including procurement, warehousing, distribution, and vendor management. The Specialist conducts field inspections, audits, and training to maintain high service standards and support continuous improvement initiatives.

This role focuses on executing quality assurance and quality control programs across supply chain operations, including procurement, warehousing, distribution, and vendor management. The Specialist conducts field inspections, audits, and training to maintain high service standards and support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Quality Assurance & Compliance:
  Implement and maintain QA/QC processes for supply chain operations.
• Conduct audits and inspections of warehouses, distribution processes, and vendor compliance.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and internal standards.
• Continuous Improvement:
  Identify process gaps and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
• Monitor and report on quality performance metrics.
• Documentation & Reporting:
  Maintain accurate records of audits, inspections, and corrective actions; prepare reports for leadership and stakeholders on quality performance.
• Support customer inquiries and provide compliance documentation as needed.
• Training & Development:
  Deliver training sessions for staff on quality standards and best practices; promote a culture of quality awareness across the supply chain team.
• Risk Management:
  
  Assess potential risks in supply chain operations and develop mitigation strategies; ensure timely resolution of quality-related issues to minimize operational impact.

• Performance Metrics:
  Audit completion and compliance rates; reduction in quality-related incidents; timeliness and accuracy of reporting; employee training, tracking and reporting on participation and effectiveness; customer satisfaction scores related to supply chain services.

• Collaborates with operations and account management on recommendations and improvements to service delivery to improve customer satisfaction.
• Advises and partners with the operations teams on the development of improved operating and business management processes and systems.
• Lead the selection, development and implementation of operating systems.

• Actively participate in Relay Quality Council and Relay Management and Leadership meetings as requested.
• Provides coaching and mentoring to operational and field staff and ensures they have the necessary skills, knowledge, and competencies to perform their duties.
• Lead and support Relay change management initiatives.

• Informs Account Manager and Director on quality failures and issues with key customer accounts.
• Lead operations teams communication on accountability for quality inspection.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Quality Assurance, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in quality assurance or supply chain operations; experience in business operations or quality control strongly preferred.
• Prior experience with contracts and training is a plus.
• Experience in pricing and budgeting is not a core requirement for this role but familiarity with financial analysis and cost control is preferred.
