Special Inspector

Overview

Insight Global is looking for a Special Inspector to join Intertek PSI's Building and Construction team in their NW region. The responsibilities include performing a variety of testing, project-specific observations and inspection duties under general supervision. This person will operate testing equipment and conduct testing (e.g., soil, concrete or other) and provide assessment of data through reporting. They will work with drawings, specifications and diagrams, use specific methods to observe site activities and perform tasks, read and interpret plans and specifications, and maintain and calibrate standard equipment.

They must be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure their own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by actions at work.

• Perform a variety of testing and project-specific observations and inspection duties under general supervision.
• Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (soil, concrete or other) and provide assessment of data through reporting.
• Work utilizing drawings, specifications and diagrams; use specific methods to observe site activities and perform tasks.
• Read and interpret plans and specifications; maintain and calibrate standard equipment.
• Adhere to safety practices and policies to ensure personal and site safety.

• 1+ years of inspection experience.
• One or more of the following
  
  Certifications:
  
  ICC certification - reinforced concrete, ICC Commercial Building Inspector, WABO Wood Framing, ODOT CDT, and/or ODOT QCT.
• Ability to read and understand work plans.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to pass a Drug and Background test;
  Civil Inspection experience.
• Previous work experience at Terracon, Mayes, Otto, MTC, Krazan, CTL, or Claire.
