We are looking for a skilled Fine Gardener for a small, women-owned gardening company in Portland.
We provide plant care, revitalization, installation, pruning, weeding, ongoing maintenance and more. We work with plants and soil with an ecological mindset. Our focus is detail hands on work with the plants, no mowing lawns. We are a small crew looking to add a positive, adaptable, and reliable person to our team.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in horticulture and possess comprehensive knowledge of plant care techniques. Experience in property clean-ups and weed control is essential. Attention to detail and the ability to be adaptable are crucial for this role.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in creating and maintaining beautiful gardens and landscapes.
Position starts mid-February and will be full time Monday-Friday. Experience in gardening, horticulture and plant identification is preferred.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs and be willing to work outside in all weather conditions. Excellent communication skills are essential. Drivers license, good driving record and reliable car required to drive to and from residential job sites in the Portland metro area. Looking for someone who is also willing to drive the work truck from North Portland a couple days a week.
Starting wage is $20-22/hour. Medical and Dental insurance is offered. Paid time off and paid holidays available after introductory period. Mileage compensation provided.
