At Hopewell House, our gardens are more than just outdoor spaces—they are places of peace, beauty, and healing. As a Garden Team volunteer, you’ll help create serene surroundings that bring comfort to residents and their families, offering moments of connection with nature during life’s tender transitions. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or simply someone who loves being outdoors, your care and creativity will transform our grounds into welcoming sanctuaries filled with color, life, and tranquility.
Together, we cultivate not only plants, but also compassion and joy for all who come to Hopewell House.

Volunteers on the Garden Team gain hands‑on experience in gardening and landscape care, including skills such as planting, pruning, mulching, and maintaining healthy soil. They learn how to design and sustain outdoor spaces that foster peace and healing, while collaborating with others to create welcoming environments. Beyond practical gardening knowledge, volunteers also gain a deeper appreciation for how nature supports comfort, dignity, and connection for residents and families at the end of life.
Hopewell House is a licensed residential care facility dedicated to providing compassionate end‑of‑life care for all people. We embrace diversity across generations, cultures, identities, and traditions, and honor each resident’s journey with dignity, presence, and love.
Garden Team volunteers bring this mission to life by creating peaceful, beautiful outdoor spaces that nurture comfort and healing. Their work ensures that residents and families can experience the serenity of nature, whether through a view from a window or a walk in the garden. By cultivating welcoming, restorative surroundings, volunteers help foster dignity, compassion, and solace—core values at the heart of Hopewell House.
