Experience with administering moderate sedation and patient management during sedation procedures within the past year. Min 2 years' experience working in critical care, PACU, emergency room or procedural area setting.
Experience with EKG monitoring required. IV skills required. BLS and ACLS required. Unit/Patient info:
Patients require continuous cardiac monitoring, frequent physician, nursing and ancillary service intervention, and other specialized treatment and/or procedures such as: ablations, pericardiocentesis, transfusion of blood products, insertion of permanent and temporary pacemakers, cardioversion, defibrillation, pain management, sedation and titration of intravenous medications including vasoactive agents, cardiac agents, anticoagulants, and antiplatelet agents. The department is open Monday through Friday from 0645 to 1715 for routine, urgent, and emergent cases.
An on-call team is available Monday-Friday from and weekends/holidays from for after-hours procedures.
