Old Town Recovery Center, 33 NW Broadway, Portland, OR 97209, USA

The Nurse Supervisor, OTRC Behavioral Health, collaborates closely with the Directors of High Intensity Mental Health, Director of Behavioral Health Outpatient Services and the Director of Nursing. This position will report directly to the Director of Nursing.

Behavioral Health services include outpatient mental health care for severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI), Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), and Intensive Case Management (ICM) services out of the Old Town Recovery Center location, and the Overdose Prevention Program.

Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Compensation

Minimum annual rate of $96,000. The final salary offered will be influenced by professional experience and internal equity.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Current Oregon Registered Nurse License required.
  • Two years’ experience as a registered nurse.
  • Must possess a current driver’s license, access to a vehicle, quality as an Acceptable Driver as designated in CCC Fleet Safety. Must pass an initial drivers training within 60 days of being an approved driver and continued recertification training. Must maintain vehicle insurance coverage of a minimum of $100,000/$300,000 personal auto liability coverage.
  • Must meet CCC privileging requirements as required by FTCA.
  • Progressively increasing responsibility in nursing preferred.
  • Must have current BLS certification prior to start date.
  • Must generally have the ability to walk, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, reach, pull and lift heavy objects, and climb stairs with reasonable or no accommodation.
  • Ability to adhere to Central City Concern’s drug-free workplace which encourages a safe, healthy and productive work environment and strictly complies with the Drug-Free Work Place Act of 1988. An employee shall not, in the workplace, unlawfully manufacture, distribute, dispense, possess or use a controlled substance or alcohol.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, TB test, and background check. This includes clearance by the DHS Background Check Unit.
  • Must adhere to agency’s non-discrimination policies.
  • Ability to effectively interact with co-workers and clients with diverse ethnic backgrounds, religious views, political affiliation, cultural backgrounds, life-styles and sexual orientations, and treat individuals with respect and dignity.
  • Will be required to carry an agency cell phone for work use. Cell phone will be provided by Central City Concern.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Administrative and Clinical Supervision:
    Regular supervision of nursing staff per regulatory standard, including 90 day, ongoing and annual performance evaluations, and planning and facilitating monthly RN department meetings. Provide and document at least 2 (two) hours of supervision per month for each full-time staff supervised. The two hours must include one hour of face‑to‑face contact for each person supervised, or a proportional level of supervision for part‑time staff providing clinical or other support services to clients.

    Supervision may take place in the community during clinical interactions
  • Nurse Operations:
    Responsible for staffing adequate nurse coverage for BH teams, coordinating nurse workflows, evaluating nursing productivity, and initiating and engaging in process improvement.
  • Nursing Practice:
    Be available as a clinical consult for triage and/or clinical visits at least 50% of the work week. This includes the following:
    • Participate in evaluating clients for risk of harm and initiate Directors Custody transport holds when appropriate
