Registered Nurse – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) – Night Shift
Location:
Portland, OR
Job Type: Full-time (0.9 FTE)
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced NICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Portland, OR. The NICU RN provides specialized, compassionate care for critically ill and premature newborns, working closely with neonatologists and the interdisciplinary care team. This role is ideal for a nurse who is detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and committed to supporting families through one of the most vulnerable times in their lives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to neonates in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and operate specialized equipment such as ventilators and incubators
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Support and educate families about their infant’s condition, treatment, and care processes
- Document all patient care accurately and in a timely manner using the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Adhere to hospital protocols and standards, including infection control and safety guidelines
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies or changes in a patient’s condition
- Participate in continuing education and maintain required certifications

Graduation from an accredited nursing program - Licenses:
Oregon Registered Nurse License – Required upon hire - Licenses:
Washington Registered Nurse License – Required upon hire if practicing within Washington State
