Position
Full‑time Infusion Registered Nurse – Gastroenterology East Clinic, Northeast Portland. The Oregon Clinic offers a collaborative, patient‑focused team and world‑class care.
Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care for clinic patients under the direction of a Physician(s) and within the scope of practice per the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
- Perform clinical care in accordance with specialty nursing standards, including selecting and monitoring venipuncture or catheter insertion sites and administering IV medication and treatments.
- Verify necessary information and perform patient assessment and triage.
- Handle prescription prior authorizations and prescription refills per clinic protocols.
- Order and maintain medical inventory supplies as needed and support the QA/QI process.
- Provide patients, families, and caregivers with health education on infusion/IV treatment and care.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Level I: $41.53 – $55.65 per hour.
- Level II: $45.24 – $61.21 per hour.
Primarily based in the Gateway Medical Office Building. Typical hours:
Monday–Friday, four 10‑hour shifts per week (7:00 am – 5:30 pm). Day off:
Thursdays.
- Current Oregon state licensure as a Registered Nurse is required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience (infusion and triage experience preferred).
- Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred;
Epic experience is a plus. - Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire. ACLS is required.
- Prior experience with authorizations preferred.
- Knowledge of IV medications, fluids, and blood products.
- Skill in performing venipuncture and using a variety of vascular access devices for infusion.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate work, work independently, and multitask effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, attendance, and work ethic.
