Role Description
We are seeking Portland, OR-based volunteer board members who are committed to educational equity and social justice, and can further our strategic priority to catalyze systemic change in how schools educate neurodivergent students and those with disabilities.
Board Members contribute their expertise to provide governance, strategic direction, and leadership to support the organization's mission. Responsibilities include
- participating in committee work
- serving as an ambassador for the organization in the community
Board members serve a 3-year term; average time commitment is 3-4 hours/month.
Board Members will help ensure the organization’s financial health, compliance, and alignment with its goals to make education accessible for children with learning challenges.
Qualifications- Experience in leadership roles, strategic planning, or organizational governance
- Skills in fundraising, networking, and finance to support nonprofit initiatives
- Background in education and community engagement, or a similar field is highly beneficial
- Passion for fostering equity in education and supporting children with learning challenges
- Commitment to actively participate in board meetings and organizational activities
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
