About the ProjectJoin Portland Parks & Recreation and Friends of Woods Park to steward Woods Memorial Natural Area. Volunteers will remove invasively growing species and plant a diversity of native plants to encourage regeneration, prevent erosion, and reduce runoff. This is a great way to get outside and connect with nature! Please bring your own water bottle, wear closed‑toe shoes, and dress for the weather.
Instructions, tools, and gloves will be provided. For the safety of staff and other volunteers, please stay home if you are feeling sick.
- Age: Volunteers must be 6 years of age or older to attend this project; volunteers under 16 must either attend with a parent/adult, or bring a waiver.
