Programs include Outreach, Family Village Shelter, Rapid Re‑Housing, Prevention, and Basic Income Guarantee. Annually, Path Home provides culturally competent, trauma‑informed services to nearly 600 families.

Compensation

$60,000 - $70,000 annually

Benefits

Full health & vision insurance (Regence) and dental insurance (Moda). Option to add family at employee's pre‑tax expense. Path Home will contribute an amount equal to 2% of the employee's total annual salary into a Simple IRA.
Paid Time Off:
Three weeks of Paid Time Off (120 hours annually) prorated based on start date, plus one week of paid sick time (40 hours) annually. Path Home also recognizes 11 paid holidays throughout the year.

Overview

Path Home is seeking a Volunteer Program Manager to lead the next chapter of our volunteer engagement program. This role is both strategic and relational—responsible for co‑designing, implementing, and sustaining a volunteer program that meaningfully supports families, staff, and the broader mission of Path Home. The Manager will collaborate closely with the Program Director and Director of Development to ensure alignment across Path Home programs, organizational events, and community partnerships.

The Volunteer Program Manager will build systems and relationships that transform volunteer engagement from a transactional model into a values‑driven, relationship‑centered program that strengthens organizational capacity, deepens community connection, and evolves alongside the changing needs of Path Home.

Specific

Job Duties Program Strategy and Design
  • Design and steward a cohesive, long‑term vision for volunteer engagement aligned with Path Home’s mission and values.
  • Translate organizational needs into clear, meaningful volunteer roles
  • Balance flexibility and structure to meet both volunteer and staff needs
  • Identify opportunities for skill‑based, group, and community‑driven volunteering
  • Develop metrics and feedback loops to understand volunteer impact and experience
  • Contribute to organizational conversations about growth, capacity, and community engagement
Volunteer Experience & Relationship Building
  • Cultivate a welcoming, inclusive, and relationship‑centered volunteer culture
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and support volunteers with clarity and care
  • Build strong, ongoing relationships with volunteers rooted in trust and mutual value
  • Ensure volunteer experiences are meaningful, well coordinated and supported
  • Explore opportunities for corporate, group, and community partnerships
  • Ensure volunteers are recognized and appreciated for their contributions
  • Adapt the volunteer program as Path Home evolves
Staff Partnership & Internal Alignment
  • Collaborate closely with staff across multiple teams to identify needs and co‑create volunteer roles
  • Support staff in working effectively with volunteers through training, tools, and consultation
  • Serve as an ambassador for volunteer engagement within the organization
