ABOUT THIS ROLE

At WLCR, Marketing Strategists don’t sit on the sidelines, they shape how our partners grow.

As a Marketing Strategist, you are responsible for translating business goals into clear, integrated marketing strategies that connect brand and performance. You work closely with the Head of Marketing & Brand Strategy to develop go-to-market plans, guide execution across channels, and ensure our work delivers meaningful, measurable impact.

You’re a strategic thinker who also knows how to get things done. You understand growth mechanics, but you also care deeply about brand, culture, and audience experience. You’re comfortable leading conversations, making recommendations, and partnering with specialists and contractors to bring ideas to life.

Reporting To: Head of Marketing and Brand Strategy

WHAT YOU’LL DOLead strategic thinking for our clients
  • Serve as a key strategic lead for marketing work streams on assigned client accounts.
  • Build strong relationships with clients by understanding their business goals, audiences, and growth challenges.
  • Lead client-facing strategy discussions, presentations, and working sessions with clarity and confidence.
  • Translate client objectives and challenges into actionable insights and marketing strategies, roadmaps, and recommendations
Shape growth and go-to-market strategy
  • Develop and execute growth marketing strategies across CRM, SEO, email, paid media, ecommerce, and social.
  • Design full-funnel strategies that drive demand generation, capture, and nurturing.
  • Lead brand and go-to-market strategies from insight and planning through execution.
  • Develop integrated comms and omni-channel activation plans across ecommerce, retail, social, and PR.
Connect strategy to execution
  • Partner with internal teams and external specialists to turn strategy into effective execution.
  • Lead and manage external contractors and specialist partners across media, creative, and execution.
  • Ensure brand expression, messaging, and channel activation remain aligned with strategic intent.
  • Apply testing, learning, and optimization frameworks to improve performance over time.
  • Own reporting and analysis across brand and growth initiatives.
  • Connect performance metrics to business outcomes such as revenue, conversion, retention, and efficiency.
  • Translate data into clear insights and recommendations that inform future strategy.
Stay ahead of culture and the market
  • Monitor cultural trends, audience behaviors, platform shifts, and competitive landscapes.
  • Keep a pulse on the evolving marketing landscape, identifying partners, platforms, and influencer ecosystems that drive growth.
  • Bring fresh perspective and insight into strategy development and campaign planning.
  • Design audience-first experiences that drive relevance, engagement, and long-term growth.
Leadership & supervision
  • You will manage external contractors and specialist partners across media, creative, and execution.
  • As the team grows, this role may take on direct reports and people management responsibilities aligned with business needs and performance.

  • You have 5+ years experience in marketing strategy, growth marketing, or brand strategy.
  • You’ve worked in an agency, high-growth startup, ecommerce, tech, or innovation-driven environment.
