POSITION SUMMARY

The Channel Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting marketing communication and retail marketing projects for our clients’ brands. Target Path represents clients and categories being sold through mass-market & specialty retail, online, and reseller channels, including both B2B and B2C. Working with the Marketing team and external vendors, the Channel Marketing Specialist supports demand generation, sell-through, and marketing for our clients to help them accelerate their time to market, enter new channels, and increase their revenue.

This role balances strategy development with execution and includes channel partner support, collateral, online, direct and sell-through marketing, channel and retail-company-specific trade shows & events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

New product launch materials and updates

  • Develop / maintain selling tools
  • Effectively communicate launch within the channels
  • Aid execution of detailed merchandising plan with partners to maximize brand exposure
  • Aid in development of various in-store POP displays
  • Aid in POP sourcing including suppliers, end-product, and schedules

Create campaigns to reseller partners with measurable call to action

Create and manage materials

  • Sales resources (custom presentations, sales collateral, launch and product assets)
  • Material used on display in retail stores
  • Material shown and communicated to channel partners

Create internal trackers for channel activities per channel or partner

  • Manage & update partner and brand-specific collateral for internal and channel partners
  • Manage SWAG orders within creative brief and budget parameters
Events
  • Provide pre-event support for shows & events, including preparing event orders, literature, SWAG & partner seeding kits, and event logistics
Web & Online
  • Aid online marketing projects, including email campaigns, product launches, keyword-based search advertising and social media efforts with partners
  • Asset toolkit build outs for partners to utilize on their own web pages
  • Build sheet management for partner item setup
  • Aid in product listing optimization of partner detail pages
Social Media
  • Provide social strategy recommendations for client brands
  • Develop social calendars for planning around events, launches and drive time
  • Create social posts and manage responses
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent required
  • Minimum of two years of professional experience in a Marketing Specialist role or five+ years in a Coordinator role required, with prior experience in either channel/retail, brand or Mar Com, preferably with a lifestyle or CE brand
  • High-energy individual, willing to learn, and take on new tasks as assigned
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Prior successful experience working with external parties (vendors, resellers, end users) to manage and maintain strong relationships is required
  • Excellent written communications skills, from writing to editing, required
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft office programs in Windows, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint required
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager and other advertising platforms is highly desirable
  • Working knowledge of Photo Shop, Illustrator, InDesign and Final Cut is highly desirable
  • Digital experience a plus – including social media, email, and marketing automation
  • Retail/Sales Floor experience in CE, Fashion or Consumer Goods is a plus
