About the Company Our client in the active wear and footwear space is seeking a Wholesale Marketing Specialist for an 11‑month contract with potential to extend. This role is onsite 4 days/week with Fridays remote.
About the Role This Wholesale Marketing Specialist role on the Sport Specialty Team will spend about half of their time supporting a key strategic account, with the remaining time focused on additional Running and Soccer specialty business as needed. You will be a primary point of contact for select accounts, flexing to support seasonal priorities and seeing projects through from start to finish.
The role also supports key soccer specialty partners across e‑commerce and brick‑and‑mortar and reports to the Sr. Manager overseeing the category.
Responsibilities
- Drive planning and execution of priority channel and account marketing initiatives to promote retail sell‑through.
- Collaborate with brand marketing to prioritize channel or account campaigns.
- Develop relationships and partner with customers’ marketing teams on joint initiatives (in‑store, TV, radio, print, direct).
- Create and execute marketing plans based on brand strategy and direction from retail activation and brand marketing.
- Manage marketing communications details: sourcing assets, facilitating approvals, coordinating with agencies/designers, and overseeing implementation.
- Track and report assigned account marketing budget, including monthly status and YTD spend by account, program, and initiative.
- Maintain and communicate updated account marketing plans, revisions, and post‑campaign recaps.
Qualifications
- BA in marketing, advertising, or related field required (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum 2 years of brand or retail marketing experience in consumer goods, or equivalent account management experience at an advertising agency.
Required Skills
- Ability to understand and protect brand messaging platforms.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong process and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Catalogue and samples process knowledge preferred.
