Integrated Media Specialist

Position Overview Our grocery client is seeking an Integrated Media Specialist to join their team full-time in Portland, OR. The Integrated Media Specialist will contribute to the acceleration of the integrated media strategy, inclusive of an optimized channel mix, budget, and performance media creative, to grow Marketing Sales Contribution and ROI as measured by MMM. Assist in the oversight of agency media planning ad spend to budget and forecast.

This is a full-time direct‑hire role in a hybrid environment with Monday through Thursday on-site. The role comes with full benefits, a performance‑based annual bonus structure, and a performance‑based annual equity bonus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the advancement of ongoing performance media creative strategy and optimizations to drive business outcomes, leveraging data/performance results and audience signals/insights to guide approach with agency and internal stakeholders.
  • Utilize media mix modeling and optimization tools (MMM/MMO) at divisional levels to identify nuances, gaps, and duplication, to maximize sales contribution for Marketing.
  • Contribute to the rightsizing of marketing investments across all markets based on customer and business needs to drive growth for the company.
  • Maintain paid media budget and forecasts by lines of business, division, and enterprise on a periodic, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Identify and troubleshoot billing and forecasting discrepancies.
  • Surface roadblocks to agency and integrated media and propose solutions to enable frictionless acceleration of goals.
  • Integrate media communication and coordination across cross‑functional teams (i.e., divisional, regional, LOB, Alternative Profit and KPM) to reduce duplication and drive efficiencies.
  • Act as air traffic controller for the Integrated Media team, distilling information from COEs and other teams into a holistic view and timeline of customer communication.
  • Build solid relationships with other teams and external partners to facilitate development, execution, and optimization of media strategies and tactical plans within the larger customer communication strategy.
  • Assist in the guidance and oversight of agency media strategies and tactical plans to ensure achievement of Kroger strategy alignment across lines of business and divisions.
  • Develop and deliver media presentations to relevant stakeholders, leadership, and teams.
  • Maintain dedication to the Marketing Vision, the principles of advertising, marketing, and media.
  • Participate in change management to grow the company's understanding and knowledge of advertising, marketing, and media to reduce and eliminate friction.
  • Prepare and distribute routine progress reports to relevant teams and leadership.
  • Maintain a business perspective focusing on connecting media mixes and plans toward generating a strong return and growth for the business.
  • Make data‑driven decisions grounded in rationale that drives the greatest return for the company while focusing on the customer.
  • Demonstrate strategic agility through flexibility and ability to pivot quickly to meet business needs.
  • Make action‑oriented choices that will drive greater accountability, growth, and efficiency for the business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, or a related area.
  • 3+ years of media planning/buying, media management, project management, and/or media logistics experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of media channels, timelines, and requirements.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to effectively meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
