MISSIONTo operate a variety of molding machines to produce moderately complex wax pattern and gating components of the highest quality. To inspect, trim and clean wax parts as required.
PRINCIPALACCOUNTABILITIES
- Tooling Preparation
:- Objective: to accurately prepare tooling dies for operation.
- Essential Job Functions:
Mold Machine Operation- Assembles, disassembles, prepares and positions tooling dies for operation; changes die inserts as required.
- Adds chills and solubles per tech cards.
- Removes and/or cleans tooling after operation.
- Safety
- Adheres to plant and department safety rules.
- Safely operates all equipment and tools.
- Identifies and reports safety problems.
- OTHER (MARGINAL) ACCOUNTABILITIES
- May train less skilled operators as assigned.
- Performs other tasks as directed.
- May be required to handle hazardous waste.
- Completes logs and records; documents any modifications to process.
- Meets all production and quality standards.

- Training is provided on the job.
- May be required to complete Hazardous Waste Management Training.
- Skill in wax molding operations, as demonstrated by three to six months of competent performance in any wax molding utility, leach tank or core/gate cleaner positions is preferred,
OR Any equivalent combination of training and work experience. - Ability to read, interpret and follow specifications on Technique Cards, Process Control Procedures and other special instructions.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
- Ability to work alone with limited supervision.
- Written language skills required.
- Physical ability to perform the essential job functions.
