Sanitation Technician

Overview

Yoshida Foods International, LLC is hiring a Full-Time Sanitation Technician. This position is responsible for the safe handling of chemicals, thorough cleaning of heavy production equipment, and inspection of equipment to confirm it is clean and in good condition.

• Pay is $18 per hour
• Shift: 2:30 PM-11 PM.
• Schedule:
  
  Monday-Friday availability.

• Safely handle chemicals.
• Follow safety procedures.
• Follow sanitation procedures.
• Dilute chemicals accurately and learn to test with strips.
• Operate equipment in cleaning mode.
• From the kettle through the filler and recirculated back, chemical treatments and rinses need to be completed correctly.
• Safe operation of equipment, using lock-out/tag-out if needed to prevent injury of one’s self and one’s coworkers.
• Manually clean tools and parts.
• Use the appropriate chemicals and procedures.
• Inspect for cleanliness.
• Clean the walls and floors.
• Foaming the ceiling, walls, strip curtains, and equipment support structures as necessary to prevent contamination of equipment.
• Remove garbage from production areas.
• Other projects as assigned.

• Attention to detail.
• Must be able to work independently and manage time well.
• Understanding of how the production equipment flows.

• Must occasionally lift to 50 lbs.
• Must be willing to work in a production environment with varying temperatures.
• Standing and moving for the whole shift.
