Mission
In addition to being a Shell Finishing Processor, this operator trains Shell Finishing Processors hands‑on. The operator also oversees qualification and certification of processors and provides feedback to supervision.
Principal Accountabilities- Train and certify Shell Finishing Processors.
- Progress new or transfer processors through the qualification and certification process; train employees on new skills and work with employees to improve performance to satisfactory levels.
- Perform module audits.
- Evaluate employees against certification requirements.
- Provide objective, fact‑based input for performance reviews; participate in performance measurement feedback and performance review of processors.
- Avoid favoritism or perception of favoritism in training/certification duties.
- Training program support: create and revise training modules; establish and revise written evaluation; design and update skills demonstration and criteria for qualification and certification.
- Shell Finishing Processor support and audits; maintain records of employees and overall departments.
- Perform ongoing evaluation of employees and random audits.
- Stay current on Shell Finishing Processor techniques in all aspects of interpreting.
- Support a harassment/discrimination‑free environment.
- Current Shell Finishing Processor Trainer certification desired or certified within 30 days.
- Self‑motivated and capable of high performance with little or no supervision.
- Consistently rate in the top 20% in Project Team Build issues and demonstrate good work habits, including a history of quality workmanship.
- Free of any disciplinary action for Quality, Productivity or Behavior over the last 12 months.
- Willing to change department assignments, work with others in more than one department, and adjust shift schedules as required by production needs.
- Outstanding performance in prior progression through the Shell Finishing Processor Training and Certification Program is desired.
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions, make progress observations, and accurately record technical data required.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing; instructions must be clear and unambiguous and consistently assure directions are clearly understood, resulting in work that rarely, if ever, needs to be redone due to quality of communication.
- Good facilitation skill and ability to teach individuals and/or small groups.
- Satisfactory attendance record required.
- Satisfactory safety record required.
- Held a Shell Finishing Processor position for a minimum of 12 months during the prior 3 years.
