Inspector - Packing

Job Description

Perform essential job functions in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.

• Safely operate equipment such as packaging, wrapping, labeling, banders, gluer, etc.
• Accurately read and follow instructions.
• Inspect material to ensure quality and that customer specifications have been met.
• Package outgoing materials to meet customer specifications and internal protocols.
• Move material within the facility according to protocol (stacking, weighing, transporting, arranging).
• Keep work and surrounding areas organized by meeting GMP and SQF practices.
• Verify and track all materials moved, including quantity, size, and packaging.
• Complete all necessary documents for internal or external use.
• Work with supervision.
• Might be required to work in multiple areas or with multiple teams.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Exceptional attendance, time management, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Prior equipment, shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and work orders.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide units of measure.

• Manufacturing or warehouse environment; hearing protection, safety shoes, eye protection, hair and beard nets required.
• Exposure to non‑toxic/nuisance smells from chemicals, airborne dust, moving mechanical parts, noise, hot/humid conditions during extremely hot summer months.

The employee regularly stands, walks, uses hands/fingers to type, hold, handle, or feel, and reaches with hands and arms. The employee lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds.
