We are partnering with a long-established, privately held wholesale distribution organization to identify a District Branch Manager to lead the company’s most profitable district located in Oregon. This leader will oversee multiple branch locations, guide branch-level leadership teams, and play a direct role in driving performance, culture, and long-term growth across the district.
This role is ideal for a results-driven, people-centered leader who understands how to balance financial performance with operational excellence, customer relationships, and a strong, values-based culture.
Compensation includes an attractive base salary, annual performance-based bonus, and monthly vehicle allowance. Essential Job Functions:- Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability for multiple Branch Managers across a large district.
- Drive sales growth, profitability, and operational performance across all assigned locations.
- Lead annual budgeting, goal setting, and performance review processes for the district.
- Monitor and evaluate branch performance using key metrics such as sales, margin, inventory turnover, safety, customer satisfaction, and accounts receivable.
- Translate financial and operational data into clear priorities and action plans for branch teams.
- Ensure consistent execution of operational standards, inventory disciplines, and safety practices.
- Serve as a senior point of contact for key customers, vendors, and internal partners.
- Support Branch Managers with hiring, performance management, employee development, and succession planning.
- Maintain a visible leadership presence across branches, reinforcing a culture of accountability, trust, and collaboration.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer service, profitability, productivity, and operational efficiency.
- Travel regularly throughout the district (up to 50%), including periodic overnight stays.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Distribution, Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent industry experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- 5+ years of multi-site leadership experience in wholesale distribution.
- Proven success leading multiple profit centers with full P&L responsibility.
- Background in plumbing, waterworks, HVAC, or closely related construction-focused wholesale industries strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, performance, and operational metrics across multiple locations.lando
- Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and developing frontline leaders.
- Proven record of driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and profitability.
- Ethical, people-focused leadership style that fosters ownership, accountability, and engagement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey clear expectations, directions, and goals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems;
Epicor Eclipse experience is a plus. - Ability to engage effectively with employees, customers, and vendor partners at all levels.
- Ability to travel up to 50% within the region.
