The Mechanical HVAC Service Manager administers the service technicians, supervisors, managers, and other personnel and is responsible for the quality of their work and the accomplishment of profit goals.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Work closely with Mechanical Solutions Sales Reps to achieve mechanical solutions sales, production and profit goals.
- Ensure the quality, standardization, profitability and timeliness of all service department production, billing, paperwork, project estimates, etc.
- Oversee effective supervision and efficient scheduling of service mechanics and dispatch to reduce unallocated Tech Sales and Tech Management time.
- Maintain adequate level of customer interaction and personal selling activity.
- Resolve customer disputes regarding services performed.
- Regularly visit jobs in progress to inspect quality of work performed and to provide and oversee on the job training and technical support to field personnel.
- Remain available for after-hours personnel support.
- Ensure code compliance and proper permitting for all work performed.
- Provide service and technical support to all company personnel as required.
- Enforce safety procedures, conduct safety inspections, and promote a culture of safety within the team.
- Ensure adherence to department procedures and standards by technicians, office personnel and dispatchers.
- Recommend procurement and ensure care of all required service tools, inventory and vehicles.
- Arrange for organization and maintenance of service shop area and vehicles.
- Responsible for efficient flow of work, purchase orders, timecards, work orders, reports and billings.
- Review efficiency reports for all techs every month.
- Conduct and/or schedule technical training to maintain a high level of technician skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
$100,000 - $150,000, plus manager profit share
Qualifications- 2-year HVAC technical degree and 7 years HVAC service experience or 12 years HVAC service experience including 5 years in a management position or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Extensive knowledge of dispatch, job cost, HVAC mechanical and electrical systems, controls, technical service procedures, safety practices, service sales process, and estimating.
- Maintain company trade licenses and skills applicable to HVAC, chiller, boiler and controls service.
- Possess interpersonal, leadership, computer, communication and management skills.
- Ability to climb ladders and function at heights.
- Ability to travel to and inspect jobsites and to visit customer locations.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism and a positive attitude under pressure.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging with customers and internal teams.
- 15 years HVAC service experience including 5 years in a management position
- OSHA 30
- This position may involve standing for extended periods and working in tight spaces.
- This position may require lifting to 75 lbs. from floor to counter top and counter top to floor.
- This position may require climbing ladders and the ability to function at heights.
- Inside and outside work environment

- Working in inclement weather conditions
