They are seeking a Accounting Manager to lead their day-to-day financial operations and ensure the highest standards of fiscal integrity. This is a critical leadership role responsible for maintaining the general ledger, managing the full close cycle, and providing the financial clarity needed to support the organization s community impact. This role operates in a hybrid work environment

- Oversee daily accounting activities, including the general ledger, journal entries, and complex account reconciliations (prepaids, accruals, and intercompany transactions).
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of all financial data.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Perform detailed budget-to-actual variance analysis and provide insightful reporting to help management track organizational health.
- Support strategic decision-making by translating complex financial data into actionable management reports.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for annual audits, coordinating schedules and preparing all necessary documentation for external auditors.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with all regulatory requirements and stay current on evolving accounting standards.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to align financial processes with operational goals.
- Support the optimization of the company’s ERP system and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial workflows and automation.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP and the full accounting cycle is required.
- Strong ability to interpret complex data sets and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with modern ERP systems (such as Net Suite or similar platforms).
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate financial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Salary: $110,000 - $125,000
Location:
NE Portland, OR - in office 1-2 days per week after training
