Supervisor - Terminal Operations; PORTLAND

Summary

The Supervisor-Operations position will oversee all operations including pipeline operations, mechanical maintenance, and environmental within the area while ensuring a successful safety record. This position will adhere to all Partnership policies and procedures and operate within its annual budget set forth by the Partnership. The position is in Portland and is key to ensuring assets are maintained safely.

• Supervises day‑to‑day facility operations to meet required production rates and monitors operating data to minimize problems and downtime.
• Ensures that established regulatory environmental and safety standards are maintained, supervising all emergency response activities and decisions related to the plant and surrounding area.
• Supervises subordinates in performing their duties safely and efficiently, administers performance reviews, applies disciplinary action when warranted, and ensures departmental manuals remain current.
• Develops and administers training courses pertinent to Operations to maintain personnel qualifications in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Develops and maintains operational procedures to ensure safety and efficiency, ensuring that operating parameters remain within equipment design limits.
• Participates in FRRC/DOT and PHMSA audits and maintains all required operational documentation to stay compliant.

• High school degree or bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years’ industry experience required for this position.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software products.

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required.
• Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, extreme temperature conditions, loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
