Overview

Regional Sales Director,  – Portland, OR. The Regional Director will drive growth objectives for multifamily marketing and  Market Analytics in their region, manage a sales team, and ensure high levels of customer service and renewal rates.

All new Regional Directors receive extensive classroom and field training to build market credibility, proudly represent our brand, and achieve career success. You will also gain marketable skills in digital marketing and sales from working with internal industry experts, product marketing, and product management specialists.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Attract, hire, motivate, and develop high-impact salespeople capable of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
  • Spend 3-4 days per week in the field on sales calls with their salespeople and provide coaching and training to enhance sales effectiveness
  • Identify, prioritize, and win new client relationships while retaining and growing current clients and getting to know major accounts in the market
  • Monitor sales performance and hold salespeople accountable to required activity levels and client relationships to ensure targets are met
  • Manage team members’ weekly activities, including attendance at the Monday Morning Sales Meeting, office attendance, and use of Enterprise CRM systems to capture sales activities, pipelines, and account assignments
  • Establish individual and team performance targets aligned with overall business goals; monitor and address performance issues as needed
  • Develop and mentor all team members
  • Ensure CoStar Group culture and values are adopted by the team

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five or more years of experience in a front-line sales leadership role, preferably in digital marketing or advertising sales, or equivalent experience in the Multifamily industry
  • Three or more years of experience directly managing a team of 5+ employees, including attracting, hiring, training, and developing a high-performing team
  • Experience managing a book of business with annual revenue over $1 million
  • Experience in a highly transactional, consultative, fast-paced sales environment with a short sales cycle
  • A demonstrated track record of commitment to prior employers
  • Candidates must possess a current and valid driver’s license
  • Satisfactory completion of a Driving Record/Abstract check prior to start
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or a minimum of four years of Multifamily or Digital Marketing experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Strong track record of mentoring and coaching sales teams to achieve peak performance
  • Experience leading a sales team with a strong focus on customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to grow a sales territory through new client acquisition and existing account growth while consistently exceeding targets
  • Ability to build long-term relationships and partnerships with clients at all levels
  • Effective internal and external relationship-building skills (peers, leaders, sales channels, customers, including C-Suite)
  • Ability to retain proven sales producers and address non-producers
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a high-growth company

This position offers a base salary range of $90, depending on skills and experience and includes a generous commission and benefits plan.
