What will I do as a MIT with Insomnia Cookies?
- Perform as Manager-on-Duty during scheduled shifts when the Store Ops Manager (GM) is not present
- Supervise, train, and coach 2-5 team members engaged in cookie sales and customer deliveries
- Lead onboarding and initial training for new hourly staff
- Conduct initial interviews for potential new hires (Cookie Crew, Shift Leaders, and Delivery Drivers) in the absence of the manager
- Support Store Ops Manager with ordering, inventory control, and scheduling
- Hold staff accountable to Insomnia Cookies' standards (baking, uniform, policies, etc.)
- Ensure all team members excel in upselling and customer service
Desired skills/experience:
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail setting
- Experience conducting in-person interviews for hourly support staff
- Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Proficiency in MS Office, Word, and Applicant Tracking Systems
- Availability to work a 4-5 day week with 1-2 mid-to-late shifts (Thurs-Sun)
- Must be 18+ and legally eligible to work in the US
