The Role

As a Maintenance Technician, you will maintain the property to ensure good working order and pleasant curb appeal while providing excellent customer service to your residents. The incumbent must possess a high degree of professionalism and positive engagement for our residents and the workforce.

Qualifications
  • 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience highly desired.
  • Hands‑on maintenance skills including plumbing, electrical, general carpentry, HVAC, appliances, pools, etc.
  • EPA Type II or Universal certification highly desired; CPO is a plus.
  • Availability to be on‑call to address any emergencies.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Positive attitude and desire to learn and develop skills.
  • Superior customer service and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Basic computer knowledge – Windows (Word, Excel), internet and e‑mail.
Key Accountabilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service in every interaction and deliver high‑quality maintenance service.
  • Complete assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance; diagnose, repair, and follow policies and safety standards.
  • Complete the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspection, punch list, vendor scheduling, supplies, and inspection of completed work.
  • Assist with grounds, common areas, and amenities maintenance such as trash removal, pressure washing, general cleaning, and painting signage.
  • Support cost‑cutting and expense‑control by fixing rather than replacing parts, and using tools correctly.
  • Conduct routine and periodic property inspections to identify safety and risk concerns, keeping the property in good repair and communicating needs to management.
  • Track inventory and notify supervisors of re‑ordering needs.
  • Adhere to rules, regulations, and guidelines, including proper safety techniques and reporting any malfunctions or incidents.
  • Comply with safety and risk‑management policies, attending meetings and completing required training.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and operational processes.
  • Conduct business according to company policies and the Fair Housing Act, ADA, and other industry‑related laws.
  • Accept physical demands such as frequent standing, walking, squatting, bending, pushing, pulling, and occasional travel to sister communities.
