You will be supporting residents at our Men’s Residential Center who are trying to change their lives and live a life of recovery.
Volunteer position summary: The Maintenance Volunteer will be performing a variety of building maintenance at the Men’s Residential Center (MRC). As a Maintenance Volunteer, this position is responsible for building maintenance, remodeling, and landscaping at the MRC. The volunteer’s duties will include fixing various items around the building needing to be replaced, painting, cleaning large carpeted spaces, and, if applicable, fixing any damaged electrical.
The volunteer may need to go to the store to pick up supplies. All tools will be provided and funded by MRC.
Skill requirements:
- General carpentry skills.
- Basic painting skills.
- Basic carpet cleaning skills.
- Basic plumbing skills.
- Preferably basic electrical knowledge.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Active driver’s license, current insurance, and ability to pass our insurer’s driving standards.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally, stand, bend, walk, and reach.
Availability:
- Preferably available Monday through Friday.
