Contract Attorney – Litigation Support (Insurance Defense).
Employment Type:
Contract (Temp / Temp-to-Hire);
Schedule:
Full-time preferred (40 hours/week);
Part-time considered;
Work Arrangement:
Remote-friendly (optional hybrid or in-office);
Pay: $40-$50/hr you can do this role concurrently with another role.
LHH is seeking a Contract Attorney to support multiple attorneys in a busy litigation practice handling insurance defense matters. This role is ideal for an experienced litigator who is comfortable managing core litigation tasks and open to expanding responsibilities over time. Insurance defense experience is a plus, but not required (they will train).
Responsibilities- Conduct legal research and case analysis
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
- Perform intake, file review, and document review
- Assist with discovery
- Communicate with clients and opposing counsel
- Manage caseloads and meet deadlines
- 5+ years of litigation experience
- Can live in OR or WA, but must have an OR bar license
- Strong organizational and writing skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Insurance defense experience preferred but not required
- Position is open-ended with the potential to convert to permanent
- Flexible remote, hybrid, or in-office work options
- Initial in-person training preferred but not required
- Sufficient workload for full-time hours; part-time arrangements welcomed
